CKD kitties like me struggle to keep their potassium up. So oral supplementation is often needed. Be sure to check with your vet whether potassium gluconate or potassium citrate is best for you! And itโ€™s very important to monitor blood potassium to make sure you donโ€™t go too high.

Before Dad knew what he was doing (as if he does now!), we once had to go to the ER for hypokalemia. That was not much fun. This got my potassium up fast. I take it every day now. Definitely get the powder, not the gel. I donโ€™t notice the powder when added to my food.
